Removal Procedure

  1. Oil Filler Cap - Remove

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove

  3. Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Remove
  4. Install the oil filler cap after removal of the intake manifold cover to prevent debris from falling into the engine.

    Disconnect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve electrical connector.

  6. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]

    Disconnect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve electrical connector.

  8. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Solenoid Valve Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Charge Air Bypass Valve Vacuum Tank Tube (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Clamp (1) - Loosen

  19. Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector Clamp (2) - Loosen
  20. Charge Air Bypass Valve (3) - Remove

    Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  22. Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector Clamp (2) - Loosen
  23. Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe (3) - Remove
  24. Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD

    CAUTION:

    The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) line is tamper resistant and must always be replaced once it is removed. The fittings connected to the PCV line must also be replaced if they are damaged when the PCV line is removed. To reduce the risk of damage to the fittings, use a suitable cutting tool and carefully cut the connections away.

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Using a suitable cutting tool, carefully cut the 2 positive crankcase ventilation tube connectors (1).

  26. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Foul Air Tube (2) - Remove and DISCARD

    NOTE:

    Replace only the components necessary to complete the repair.

    Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.

  28. Ignition Coil Bolt (1) - Remove
  29. Ignition Coil (2) - Remove
