Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil fill cap.
  2. GM5335087

    Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (1).

  3. GM5335089

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

  4. GM5137012

    Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect [3x]

  5. Retainer (2) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (3) - Unclip [3x]
  6. Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition
  7. GM5137013

    Upper Intake Manifold Cover Bracket Bolt (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove [2x]

  8. GM5137016

    Upper Intake Manifold Cover Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  9. Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove
  10. GM5300179
    NOTE:

    Replace only the components necessary to complete the repair.

    Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.

  11. Ignition Coil Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  12. Ignition Coil (2) - Remove
  13. GM5300180
    NOTE:

    Inspect the spark plug for damage and replace as necessary. ONLY the faulty component should be replaced..

    Spark Plug (1) - Remove
