Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. GM5422357

    Rear Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  3. Rear Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Remove
  4. Remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    NOTE:

    Components removed for graphic clarity.

    Rear Bumper Fascia Screw (1) - Remove [2x]

  6. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Screw (2) - Remove [8x]
  7. Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]
  8. Push Pin (4) - Remove
  9. Rear Wheelhouse Liner (5) - Remove
  10. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  12. Fuel Tank Vent Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  13. Evaporative Emission Canister Air Inlet Hose (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    NOTE:

    Release retaining tab to remove evaporative emission canister.

    Evaporative Emission Canister (1) - Remove

  15. GM5311576

    Remove the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid valve by rotating it clockwise. (1)
