Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the fuel enough to remove the fuel tank filler pipe. Fuel Tank Draining
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Rear Wheelhouse Liner- Left Side and Right Side - Remove [2x] - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Evaporative Emission Canister Air Inlet Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  5. Fuel Tank Vent Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  6. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt (1) - Remove

    Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt (1) - Remove

  9. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) - Loosen
  10. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3) @ Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (4) - Remove
  11. Fuel Tank Filler Evaporative Emission Valve Hose (5) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  12. Fuel Tank Vent Hose (6) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  13. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (7) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (1) - Remove

  15. GM5897714

    Rear Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Remove

  16. Rear Brake Pipe Clip (1) - Remove
  17. Cap the rear brake pipe union to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

    Rear Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Remove

  19. Rear Brake Pipe Clip (2) - Remove
  20. Rear Brake Pipe Clip (3) - Remove
  21. Plug the rear brake hose inlet to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
  22. GM5897715

    Maneuver the rear brake crossover pipe (1) out of the left side of vehicle through the gap between the rear subframe and body.
