Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    NOTE:
    • Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.
    • Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove

  4. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
  5. Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove
  6. GM5892389

    { If equipped } Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]

  7. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Disengage [2x]
  8. If equipped, remove the front disc brake pad wear sensor (4) at the 4 wiring harness retainers (1, 2).
  9. Remove the front wheel speed sensor (3) at the 2 wiring harness retainers (2).

    Front Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (3) - Remove

  11. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Remove
  12. Front Brake Hose Retainer (2) - Remove
  13. Cap the front brake pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Hose Fitting (1) - Remove

  15. Front Brake Hose Washer (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  16. Front Brake Hose (2) @ Front Brake Caliper - Remove
  17. Plug the front brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Hose (1) - Remove
