Removal Procedure
- Prepare the brake system control module for removal with Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- NOTE:

Using the appropriate trim tool, remove the left side and right side windshield wiper arm finish caps (1) from the windshield wiper arms (3).
- Windshield Wiper Arm Nut- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
- Grasp the outer end of the windshield wiper arms (3) and gently rock the arms back and forth to remove them from the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.
- NOTE:

Apply two layers of masking tape around the top edge of the left side and right side service parts to prevent paint damage.
- Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully release the left side and right side air inlet grille panel extension clips.
- Remove the left side and right side air inlet grille panel extensions (1) from the air inlet grille panels and upper front fenders.

Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [6x]
- Front Compartment Side Sight Shield- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
- Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
- Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Remove [6x]
- Disconnect the windshield washer nozzle hose from the windshield washer pump hose.
- Lift the front edge of the air inlet grille panel (2) and slide the panel forward from both hood hinges to remove.
Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Remove
Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.
- Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Slide the windshield wiper system module (2) inboard to release the grommet from the plenum and remove the windshield wiper system module (2) from the vehicle.
Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (1) - Remove
Plenum Front Panel Nut (1) - Remove [3x]
- Plenum Front Panel Bolt (2) - Remove [3x]
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Pull the forward lamp wiring harness (3) out from the plenum front panel.
Plenum Front Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Plenum Front Panel Nut (2) - Remove [3x]
Plenum Front Panel (1) - Remove
Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Remove [5x]
- Radiator Air Upper Baffle Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
- Radiator Air Upper Baffle (3) - Remove
Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut (2) - Remove [2x]
- Release the engine wire harness retainers from the front end sheet metal cross brace.
- Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace (3) - Remove
Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Nut (1) - Remove
- Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt (2) - Remove
- Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace (3) - Remove
Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake System Control Module - Disconnect
Electronic Brake Control Module Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [4x]
- CAUTION:
When removing the Brake System Control Module (BSCM) from the Master Cylinder Assembly, ensure the valve coils in the (BSCM) clear the pins in the Master Cylinder Assembly. If the coils or pins are damaged the complete Master Cylinder Assembly will require replacement.
