Installation Procedure

  1. GM5412614

    Thermostat Bypass Hose (2) - Install

  2. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  3. GM5398967

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install

  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. GM5398955

    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  6. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
    7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  8. Intake Manifold Cover - Install - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  9. GM5432174

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  10. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
