Removal Procedure

  1. GM5456746

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove

  2. GM5456829

    Intake Manifold Cover Insulator (1) - Remove

  3. GM5475551

    Place shop cloths beneath the radiator surge tank inlet hose connection points to absorb any potential coolant spillage.

  4. Radiator Surge Tank Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  5. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) - Remove
  6. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (3) - Remove
  7. GM5475553

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (3) - Remove [4x]

  8. Radiator Surge Tank Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  9. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) - Remove
