Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) 
  2. GM5479536

    Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Remove

  3. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  4. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  5. Electrical Connector (4) - Disconnect [2x]
  6. GM5479537

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Loosen

  7. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Remove [4x]
  8. Engine Wiring Harness (3) - Reposition
  9. GM5479539

    Remove the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

  10. GM5479540

    Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage [3x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  11. Radiator Outlet Hose Clip (3) - Remove
  12. Using an appropriate tool, disengage the radiator outlet hose retainer (2).
  13. Radiator Outlet Hose (4) - Remove
