Installation Procedure

  1. GM5399501

    Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe Gasket (3) - Install NEW

  2. Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Install [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  4. GM5399499

    Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe (3) @ Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve - Install

  5. Hose Clamp (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  6. Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications
  7. GM5399498

    Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe - Install

  8. GM5399494

    Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe Bolt (2) - Install - Fastener Specifications

  9. Engine Wiring Harness Connector (1) @ Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe - Install
  10. GM5399490

    Heater Inlet Hose (3) @ Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe - Install

  11. Turbocharger Coolant Feed and Return Pipe (2) @ Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe - Install
  12. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  13. GM5399488

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (3) @ Exhaust Manifold Outlet Pipe - Install

  14. Hose Clamp (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  15. Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - Connect
  16. GM5432174

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  17. GM5432171

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  18. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  19. Install the oil fill cap.
  20. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
