Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) 
  2. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (RWD) , or Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (AWD)
  3. GM5123297

    Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  4. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Remove
  5. Thermostat Bypass Hose (3) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Remove
  6. GM5123304

    Engine Oil Cooler Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  7. Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Remove
  8. Engine Oil Cooler Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
