Installation Procedure

  1. GM5123304

    Engine Oil Cooler Seal (3) - Install NEW [2x]

  2. Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  3. Engine Oil Cooler Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
  4. GM5123297

    Thermostat Bypass Hose (3) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Install

  5. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Install
  6. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  7. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (RWD) , or Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (AWD)
  8. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716)
