Installation Procedure

Auxiliary Water Pump Outlet Upper Hose (2) - Install NEW
- Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Water Inlet Gasket (2) - Install NEW
- Install the engine coolant thermostat housing pipe (1) into the auxiliary water pump outlet hose and then install the engine coolant thermostat housing pipe to the engine block.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Bolt (2) - Install [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Inlet Pipe - Connect
Turbocharger Coolant Feed Hose (2) @ Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Inlet Pipe - Install
- Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Air Cleaner Assembly (1) - Install
Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector and install all wiring harnesses to the air cleaner assembly.
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716)
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
