Installation Procedure

    Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    The compressor air intake turbocharger is removed for illustration purposes only.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

    Water Pump Inlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications

  3. GM5124222
    NOTE:

    The compressor air intake turbocharger is removed for illustration purposes only.

    Water Pump Inlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

  4. GM5124218
    NOTE:

    The compressor air intake turbocharger is removed for illustration purposes only.

    Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe - Install

  5. Heater Water Auxiliary Pump Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe - Install
  6. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Catalytic Converter Heat Shield (1) - Install

  8. GM5310138

    Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  9. Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Turbocharger Heat Shield (1) - Install

    Turbocharger Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Install [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the heated oxygen sensor electrical connector.

    Electric Water Pump (1) - Install

  14. GM5314807

    Install the water pump (2) into the auxiliary water pump outlet upper hose (3).

  15. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Water Pump Bolt (1) - Install [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Water Pump Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Connect

  19. Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Engine Wiring Harness Bracket - Install [3x]

    Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Install

  21. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube (2) @ Turbocharger (3) - Install

  23. Retainer Spring (1) - Release

    Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Install

  25. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Air Cleaner Assembly (1) - Install

  27. GM5405481

    Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten Fastener Specifications

  28. Connect the electrical connector and install the wiring harnesses to the air cleaner assembly.

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install

  30. Connect the electrical connector.

    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  32. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  33. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  34. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) 
  35. Start the engine and check for leaks.
