Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling 
  2. GM5839403

    Front Bumper Fascia (1) - Remove - Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (without Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing CFV, CFZ)

  3. GM5481342

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]

  4. GM5481344

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]

  5. GM5420756

    { If equipped } Forward Range Radar Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  6. NOTE:

    Forward range radar sensor will be with the bracket.

  7. { If equipped } Forward Range Radar Bracket (2) - Remove
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Reposition [2x]

  10. Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Bracket Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Horn Bolt (1)- Left Side and Right Side - Remove [2x]

  12. Horn- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Reposition [2x]

    Reposition the wiring harness.

  14. Front Bumper Impact Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]
  15. Front Bumper Impact Bar (2) - Remove

    Auxiliary Radiator Front Duct- Left Side (1) - Remove

  17. GM5867167

    Using an appropriate tool, remove the 2 auxiliary radiator outlet hose retainers (1) from the auxiliary radiator outlet hose connectors.

  18. Remove the auxiliary radiator outlet hose (2) from the engine radiator and the left side charge air cooler.
