Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging

    Retainer Spring (1) - Release

  3. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Remove
  4. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  6. Front Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Remove

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [3x]

  8. Front Bumper Upper Fascia Screw (2) - Remove [2x]

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

  10. Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (1) - Remove [5x]
  11. Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [7x]

  13. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Remove [4x]
  14. Front Wheelhouse Liner- Left Side (3) - Remove

    Retainer Spring (1) - Release

  16. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Charge Air Cooler (3) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Using the appropriate tool, rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise to release the tension on the accessory drive primary belt (2) for removal.

  18. Accessory Drive Primary Belt (2) @ Air Conditioning Compressor (3) - Remove

    Unfasten the radiator inlet hose clip (1), and position the radiator inlet hose (2) out of the way.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1) [3x]

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Nut (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (1) @ Air Conditioning Compressor - Remove

  23. Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  24. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Engine Wiring Harness Connector Bracket Nut (1) - Remove

  26. Engine Wiring Harness Connector Bracket (2) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Compressor Nut (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Compressor Nut (1) - Remove

  29. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (2) - Remove
  30. Maneuver the air conditioning compressor (3) out from the engine compartment.
