Installation Procedure

    Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Coil (4) - Install

  2. Air Conditioning Clutch Coil Retaining Ring (3) - Install
  3. Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley (2) - Install
  4. Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley Bearing Retaining Ring (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

    Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  6. Connect the electrical connector.

    NOTE:

    Use the original shim count as a starting point to determine the proper air gap for the air conditioning clutch plate.

    Install the air conditioning clutch shim (s) (3) as needed to achieve the appropriate air gap of 0.21 - 0.55 mm (0.008 - 0.022 in)

  8. Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Drive Plate (2) - Install
  9. Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Pulley Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Measure the air gap between air conditioning clutch drive plate (2) and the air conditioning compressor pulley (3) using the appropriate feeler gauge (1).

  11. If the air gap is out of range remove the air conditioning clutch drive plate, and add or remove shim (s) as need to achieve the appropriate air gap.
  12. Repeat steps 7, 8, 9 and 10 as needed to achieve the appropriate air gap.

    Position the accessory drive primary belt (2) onto all but one of the idler pulleys.

  14. Use a suitable tool to rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise, then hold tension.
  15. Install the accessory drive primary belt (2) onto the last idler pulley. Check to ensure that the drive belt is centered on each pulley, and fully seated into ribbed pulleys.
  16. Slowly release tension from the drive belt tensioner (1).
  17. Inspect the accessory drive primary belt (2) again to ensure centered on each pulley.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install

    Retainer Spring (3) - Engage

  20. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose (2) - Install
  21. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Solenoid Valve Tube (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Install the NEW positive crankcase ventilation fresh air tube (2) and secure the 2 positive crankcase ventilation tube connectors (1).

    Air Cleaner Assembly (2) - Install

  25. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  26. Install all retainers and wiring harnesses to the air cleaner assembly as necessary.
  27. Connect the 2 mass airflow sensor electrical connectors.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Install

  29. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  30. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) - Install
  31. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install [2x]

  33. Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  34. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  35. Install all wiring harness retainers to the front end sheet metal cross braces.

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle- Upper (3) - Install

  37. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  38. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [5x]

    Transmission Control Module (1) @ Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Install

  43. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Pipe (3) - Install

  45. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (4) @ Engine Radiator - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  46. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Engine Control Module Bracket - Install
  47. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Oil Filler Cap - Remove

  49. Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Install
  50. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  51. Oil Filler Cap - Install
  52. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
  53. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  54. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  55. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
