Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove (5x)

  3. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove (2x)

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove

  5. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove
  6. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Remove

  8. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove
  9. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove (6x)

    Front Compartment Air Deflector - (1) Remove

    Use the appropriate tool to hold the air conditioning compressor shaft (3), and the appropriate tool to turn air conditioning clutch drive plate (1) counter clockwise to loosen and remove.

  13. NOTE:

    The air conditioning clutch shim count will vary for each air conditioning compressor. Be sure to verify the number of shims once the clutch is removed.

  14. Remove the air conditioning clutch shim (s) (2).

    NOTE:

    Using the appropriate tool, rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise to release the tension on the accessory drive primary belt (2) for removal.

  16. Accessory Drive Primary Belt (2) @ Air Conditioning Compressor (3) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  18. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley Bearing Retaining Ring (1) - Remove

  20. Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley (2) - Remove
  21. Air Conditioning Clutch Coil Retaining Ring (3) - Remove
  22. Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Coil (4) - Remove
