Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor Cap (2) - Remove and DISCARD

  4. Tire Valve Front and Rear Stem (1) - Remove and DISCARD
  5. NOTE:

    Before the tire is removed from the wheel note the following items:

    • When using the tire machine to separate the tire bead from the wheel, position the bead breaking fixture 90 degrees from the valve stem.
    • When removing the tire from the wheel, ensure a tolerance is maintained between the tire machine fixture, or irons, tire bead, and the sensor.
  6. Dismount the tire from the wheel. Tire Dismounting and Mounting
  7. If a tire sealant product was used/found within the tire/wheel, use a mild dish soap, clean water and shop cloths to remove the sealant residue from the tire and wheel surfaces.

    Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor Nut (1) - Remove and DISCARD

    Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor (1) - Remove

  10. Remove and DISCARD the metal tire pressure indicator sensor washer (2).
  11. Remove and DISCARD the rubber tire pressure indicator sensor washer (3).
