Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation 
  3. Dismount the tire from the wheel. Tire Dismounting and Mounting 
  4. Protect the area where the valve stem removal tool may contact the rim.
    5. CAUTION:

    Do not scratch or damage the clear coating on aluminum wheels with the tire changing equipment. Scratching the clear coating could cause the aluminum wheel to corrode and the clear coating to peel from the wheel.

    NOTE:

    If valve stem will notpull through, cutting the inner seal off the valve stem is allowed.

  5. Remove and DISCARD the valve stem by pulling it through the rim using a valve stem removal tool.
  6. Clean all sealing surfaces.
