Installation Procedure
Using J-45725-2 Bushing Remover Installer (2) and DT-50806 - 2 Bushing Remover Installer (3), install the rear suspension lower control arm bushing (1).
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Bolt (3) - Install NEW
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Washer (2) - Install
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Nut (1) - Install and hand tighten
- NOTE:
Correctly orient the rear coil spring as noted upon removal of the rear suspension lower control arm.
Rear Coil Spring (1) - Install
- Support the rear suspension lower control arm (2) with an appropriate jack stand.
- Slowly lower the vehicle to apply tension on the rear coil spring (1) and rotate the rear suspension lower control arm (2) and align the rear suspension lower control arm (2) with the rear suspension knuckle.
Using the jack stand, raise the rear lower control arm enough to aid in the installation of the rear suspension lower control arm bolt (3).
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Bolt (3) - Install NEW
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Nut (1) - Install
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Bolt (3) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Rear Shock Absorber Bolt (2) @ Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (3) - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Remove the jack stand from beneath the rear suspension lower control arm.
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Cover (2) - Install
- Install the 4 rear spring pins (1).
- Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Adjust the rear camber. Rear Camber Adjustment
The final torque on the rear suspension lower control arm inner nut (1) is to be applied during the rear camber setting procedure.
