Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Remove the 4 rear spring pins (1).
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Cover (2) - Remove
- Support the rear suspension lower control arm with a suitable jack stand.
Rear Shock Absorber Bolt (2) @ Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (3) - Remove and DISCARD
Using the jack stand, raise the rear suspension lower control arm to aid in the removal of the rear suspension lower control arm outer bolt.
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Nut (1) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Bolt (3) - Remove and DISCARD
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Nut (1) - Loosen
- NOTE:
Observe the orientation of rear coil spring (1) as it will be dislodged upon removal of the rear suspension lower control arm.
Slowly raise the vehicle to release tension on the rear coil spring (1) and swing the rear suspension lower control arm (2) far enough to gain access to the rear coil spring (1) for removal.
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Nut (1) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Washer (2) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Inner Bolt (3) - Remove and DISCARD
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (1) - Remove
Rear Coil Spring Insulator (1) @ Rear Coil Spring (2) - Remove
- Rear Coil Spring Lower Insulator (3) @ Rear Coil Spring (2) - Remove
