Conditions for Clearing the DTC

- The transfer case control module clears the DTC on the next ignition cycle, once the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present.
- DTC C05D8 is ignition cycle latched.
- A history DTC clears after 40 consecutive warm up cycles without a fault present.
- All DTCs can be cleared using a scan tool.
- Clearing DTCs will also clear failure records.
