Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0300 - P0308 is not set.
- If DTC P0300 - P0308 is set
Refer to: DTC P0300-P0308
- Go to next step: If DTC P0300 - P0308 is not set
- If DTC P0300 - P0308 is set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Cold Start-Up = Yes
- If not the specified state
Repeat the procedure starting at step 3
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Engine - Idling
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Cylinder 1 - 8 Current Misfire Counter = Less than 1
- If 1 or greater
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- Q17 Fuel Injector = Blocked/Restricted - Fuel Injector Diagnosis
- Q17 Fuel Injector - Control Circuit = High Resistance - Refer to: DTC P0201-P0208, P0261, P0262, P0264, P0265, P0267, P0268, P0270, P0271, P0273, P0274, P0276, P0277, P0279, P0280, P0282, P0283, P1248-P124F, P2147, P2148, P2150, P2151, P2153, P2154, P2156, P2157, P216B, P216C, P216E, P216F, P217B, P217C, P217E, or P217F
- Battery Voltage = Less than 11 V - Cold Start-Up - Refer to: Symptoms - Engine Electrical
- Fuel - Contaminated/Poor Quality - Refer to: Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis
- Fuel Pressure - Low/High - Refer to: Fuel System Diagnosis .
- If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
- If no condition exists - Replace the appropriate component: Q17 Fuel Injector
- Go to next step: If less than 1
- All OK.
