Circuit/System Description

The Cellular/GPS antenna element which is part of the T4P High Frequency Antenna located on the outside of the vehicle supplies GPS information to the K73 Telematic Control Module or without RPO UE1 the A11 Radio. The Cellular/GPS antenna element is connected to the K73 Telematic Control Module or A11 Radio via a shielded coaxial cable. The K73 Telematic Control Module or A11 Radio supplies 5 V through the coax cable to power the internal antenna amplifier.

When the vehicle is equipped with the optional Performance Data Recorder, a T15 Navigation Signal Splitter is installed to distribute the navigation signal to both the K73 Telematic Control Module or A11 Radio and the K161 Vehicle Performance Data Recorder. The K161 Vehicle Performance Data Recorder supplies 5 V through the coax cable to power the T15 Navigation Signal Splitter.
