Installation Procedure
- NOTE:
- A new sunroof sunshade comes with a pre-loaded locking pin to hold the sunshade fabric steady.
- If the sunroof sunshade spring releases, it will be necessary to rewind and install the locking pin.
Install the 2 sunshade retainers (1) to the sunroof sunshade (2) ensuring that each forward tang is inserted into the stitched pocket at both ends of the sunroof sunshade.
- NOTE:
If the sunroof sunshade fabric is not fed correctly into the sunroof sunshade side guide channel the fabric will droop and not be firm.
Install the sunroof sunshade (1) with each sunshade retainer (2) installed into the sunroof sunshade side guide channel at both ends of the sunroof sunshade (1).
Slide the sunroof sunshade (3) together with the 2 sunroof sunshade retainers (1) forward towards the cable drive plates (2) at each end of the sunroof sunshade (3).
- Secure the 2 sunroof sunshade retainers (1) to the cable drive plates (2) at each end of the sunroof sunshade (3)
Rotate the sunshade edge stiffener (1) upward and rearward to engage to the cable drive plates (2) at each end of the sunroof sunshade and ensure the sunshade edge stiffener (1) has properly secured.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Sunroof Sunshade Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Remove the locking pin (1) from the sunroof sunshade (2).
Sunroof Mid Seal Bracket (2) - Install [2x]
- Sunroof Mid Seal Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Reinstall the sunroof window seal.
