Removal Procedure

- Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement - Remove
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe @ Oil Pan - Disconnect - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe Replacement
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (Blackwing) - Remove
Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (1) - Disconnect
- Oil Filter - Remove Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Remove the bolt (1) and the left rear transmission cover (2).
- Starter Replacement (LT4) - Remove
- Engine Oil Cooler Replacement (LT4) - Remove
Remove the bolt (1) and right transmission cover (2).
Engine Oil Level Sensor (2) - Disconnect
Remove the bolts from the bell housing to the oil pan (1 and 2).
Oil pan bolts (1) - Remove [2x]
- Oil Pan Bolt (2) - Remove [14x]
- Remove the oil pan (3) from the engine block.
- For oil pan disassemble, refer to Oil Pan Disassemble .
- For cleaning and inspection, refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the transverse spring or steering gear intermediate shaft from the cradle.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the stabilizer shaft, only to disconnect the links.
