Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector. Refer to Oil Pan Disassemble .

    Remove the engine oil level indicator switch bolts (1), retaining clip (2) and switch (3). Discard seal (4).

  4. For cleaning and inspection. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
