Installation Procedure
Cover the inlet area of the compressor air intake supercharger (1) to prevent dirt or debris contamination onto the rotors.
Install the EN-48898 Supercharger Lift Fixture (1).
- Tighten the EN-48898 Supercharger Lift Fixture bolts and nuts until snug.
Intake Manifold Gasket (2) - Install NEW [8x] Replacing Engine Gaskets
- Install the compressor air intake supercharger (1).
Remove the EN-48898 Supercharger Lift Fixture (1).
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [8x]
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:The supercharger bolts need to be tightened twice, in sequence, to the same torque value, to ensure the proper bolt clamp load and sealing.
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [8x]
- First Pass: 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Second Pass: 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Supercharger Air Outlet Pressure Sensor (1) - Connect - Supercharger Air Outlet Pressure Sensor Replacement
- Attach and connect harness retainers and connectors as necessary.
Connect electrical connectors (1, 2, and 3).
- Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose - Connect @ Supercharger Water Manifold - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement (LT4 Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump to Charge Air Cooler Front Manifold)
- Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose - Connect @ Supercharger Water Manifold - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement (LT4 Charge Air Cooler Front Manifold to Engine Radiator Intercooler Heat Exchanger)
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe (1) - Connect @ Throttle Body Assembly - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe (1) @ Throttle Body Assembly - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Supercharger Belt (2) - Install - Supercharger Belt Replacement
Charge Air Cooler Cover (2) - Install - Charge Air Cooler Cover Replacement
- Fill the charge air cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4)
