Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill)

    Radiator Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket - Remove

    Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  4. Radiator Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve - Disconnect
  5. Radiator Inlet Hose (2) - Reposition away
  6. EN-51007  Global Engine Support Fixture - Install - Engine Support Fixture

    Engine Mount Nut (1) - Remove

  8. Engine Mount Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  9. Use the EN-51007  Global Engine Support Fixture to raise the left side of the engine until the engine mount can be removed.
  10. Electrical Connector @ Engine Mount - Left Side - Disconnect

    Engine Mount (1) - Remove

  12. CAUTION:

    Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.

  13. Ensure the phenolic spacer (2) remains in place.
