Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Remove the left side warm up three-way catalytic converter. Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGY)
Starter Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Starter Heat Shield (2) - Remove
- Install the engine support fixture. Engine Support Fixture
Engine Mount Nut- Left Side (1) - Remove
- Slowly raise the left side of the engine.
Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Engine Mount Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
Engine Oil Cooler Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Reposition the engine oil cooler.
Engine Oil Cooler Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Remove the left engine mount and engine mount bracket.
Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Gasket (2) - Remove and DISCARD
Starter Bolt (1) - Remove
- Battery Cable Terminal Bolt (3) - Remove
- Starter Bolt (4) - Remove
- Reposition the starter (2) to access the electrical connections.
Electrical Connector (3) - Disconnect
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) @Starter Solenoid - Remove
- Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (1) - Remove
- Starter (4) - Remove
