Component Testing

Relay Test

Ignition Off.
Remove the KR73 Ignition Main Relay.
Test for 70 to 110 Ω between the relay terminals 85 and 86.
- If not the specified values
  Replace the KR73 Ignition Main Relay.
- Go to next step: If the Specified Values
Test for infinite resistance between the following terminals:
- 30 & 85
- 30 & 86
- 30 & 87
- 85 & 87
- 86 & 87
- If not Infinite resistance
  Replace the KR73 Ignition Main Relay.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
Connect a B+ 3 A fused jumper to terminal 85 & a grounded jumper to terminal 86.
Test for less than 2 Ω between terminals 30 & 87.
- if greater than 2 Ω
  Replace the KR73 Ignition Main Relay.
- Go to next step: If Less than 2 Ω
