Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement

WARNING: Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hold-Open Device Warning . CAUTION: Apply pressure only at the end of the liftgate/hood assist rod that you are removing or attaching. Do NOT apply pressure to the middle of the rod because damage or bending will result. Preliminary Procedure Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side
1	Rear Compartment Lid Strut Procedure Release the locking clips on the strut. Ensure the clip is fully seated when the rod is reinstalled. If the clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.

Procedure

Release the locking clips on the strut.
Ensure the clip is fully seated when the rod is reinstalled. If the clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.
