Installation Procedure

    Raise the drivetrain and front suspension assembly (1) into position.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

    CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

    Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Front Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [6x]

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: (90 - 105 degrees)
  3. CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

  4. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Rear Bolt (2) - Install NEW and tighten [2x]
    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: (90 - 105 degrees)
  5. Remove the jack from the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.

    Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Install - Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (LT4)

    Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Install - Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LT4)

    Front Lower Control Rear Link - Left Side and Right Side (2) @ Steering Knuckle - Remove [2x] - Front Lower Control Rear Link Replacement (RWD)

  9. Front Lower Control Front Link - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Steering Knuckle - Remove [2x] - Front Lower Control Front Link Replacement (RWD)

    Stabilizer Shaft Link (1) @ Stabilizer Shaft - Install - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE2) , or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE3, FE4)

    Install the steering linkage outer tie rod (1) to the steering knuckle. Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement (with Blackwing)

    Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Steering Gear - Install - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (RWD)

    Front Wheelhouse Liner - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x] - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Blackwing)

    Engine Mount Nut-Right Side (1) - Install - Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side

    EN-51007  Global Engine Support Fixture (1) - Remove - Engine Support Fixture

  18. Remove the wire or strap used to secure the engine coolant fan module radiator assembly to the left and right side radiator upper brackets.
  19. If the front drivetrain and suspension cradle is replaced, measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
