Charge Air Cooler Coolant Filler Cap (1) - Remove
Install the GE-47716-30A Vac-N-Fill Adapter (1) to the turbocharger coolant feed pipe fitting (2) to allow the system to vent.
- Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Charge Air Cooler (1) - Remove - Charge Air Cooler Replacement - Left Side (LGY)
- Rotate the auxiliary radiator outlet hose downward allowing the engine radiator (intercooler heat exchanger) to drain.

Charge Air Cooler (1) - Install - Charge Air Cooler Replacement - Left Side (LGY)
To avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot.
Make sure the charge air cooling system is cool and that the pump is not activated.
