Installation Procedure
Steering Column (1) - Install
- Steering Column Nut (2) - Install and hand tighten [4x]

CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution .
Steering Column Nut (1) - Tighten in sequence [4x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Connect the steering column electrical connectors.
- Align the relationship marks made between the steering column and the upper intermediate steering shaft during removal.
Fully connect the upper intermediate steering shaft (2) to the steering column.
- Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft Bolt (1) @ Steering Column - Install and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side Outer (2) - Install - Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side Outer
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Install - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector Replacement
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
- Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover - Install - Instrument Panel Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement
- CAUTION:
The anti-rotation pin must be removed from the steering column before installing the steering wheel. Ensure that the steering wheel bolt is torqued to specification during steering wheel installation. Over torquing the steering wheel bolt can result in damage to the steering column rivets which will disable the telescoping mechanism. If the steering column rivets are damaged, a new steering column must be installed.
Remove the device used to prevent steering column rotation.

- Steering Wheel (2) - Install - Steering Wheel Replacement
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
- Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
Support the steering column while installing the steering column nuts.
