Installation Procedure

    Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

    Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Outer Bolt (3) - Install NEW

  3. Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Outer Nut (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten

    Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Inner Bolt (1) - Install NEW

  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Inner Nut (2) - Install and tighten
    1. First Pass: 70 N.m (52 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 90 - 100 degrees

    Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm Outer Nut (1) - Tighten

    1. First Pass: 70 N.m (52 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 90 - 100 degrees
  8. Rear Wheel Speed Sensor@Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm - Install - Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (J56, JL9) , or Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (J57, J6H)

    {If equipped} Position the rear brake line (2).

  10. {If equipped}Rear Brake Hose Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  11. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  12. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
