Installation Procedure

    Front Suspension Strut (1) - Install

    Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten [3x]

    Steering Knuckle Bolt (2) - Install [2x]

  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Steering Knuckle Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x]
    1. First Pass:150 N.m (111 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:80 - 95 degrees
  6. Front Stabilizer Shaft Link@Front Suspension Strut - Install - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE2) , or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE3, FE4)

    Reposition the front brake hose and install the brake hose fitting bolt (2) to the front suspension strut bracket. Front Brake Hose Replacement (J56) , or Front Brake Hose Replacement (JL9) , or Front Brake Hose Replacement (J57, J6H)

  8. Install the front wheel speed sensor harness retainer to the front suspension strut bracket.
  9. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

    Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut (1) - Tighten [3x]27 N.m (20 lb ft)

  12. Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
