Installation Procedure

- Apply a thin coating of grease evenly ensuring complete coverage of the steering knuckle pilot bore only. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Front Wheel Hub (1) - Install
- Prepare the 3 front wheel hub bolts for installation as follows:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Front Wheel Hub Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x]
- First Pass:100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass:15 - 30 degrees
- Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft@Front Wheel Hub - Install
- Front Brake Rotor - Install - Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J56) , or Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JL9) , or Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J57) , or Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J6H)
Front Wheel Speed Sensor (2)@Steering Knuckle - Install
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
