Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)

    Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (AWD)

    Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Remove - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (AWD) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (Blackwing)

    NOTE:

    Do NOT allow the ball stud to rotate while loosening the nut.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Loosen

    Using the CH-42188-B  Ball Joint Separator (1), separate the front lower control rear link from the steering knuckle.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Remove

    Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut (1) - Remove

  9. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  10. Front Lower Control Rear Link (3) - Remove
