Installation Procedure

    Front Lower Control Rear Link (3) - Install

  2. CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

  3. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2) - Install NEW
  4. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Do NOT allow the ball stud to rotate while tightening the nut.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Install and tighten

    1. First Pass:40 N.m (30 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:120 - 135 degrees

    Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2) - Tighten

    1. First Pass:100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:90 - 105 degrees

    Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Install - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (AWD) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (Blackwing)

    Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (AWD)

  9. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
