Installation Procedure

Front Disc Brake Pad (1) - Install [2x] - Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement (J56)
- Due to the unknown shelf life of the adhesive patch, prepare the brake caliper bracket bolts and the bracket threaded holes as follows:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
Front Brake Caliper (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Front Brake Caliper Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x]
- First Pass: 150 N.m (111 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 15 - 30 degrees
- Front Brake Hose (2) @Front Brake Caliper - Install - Front Brake Hose Replacement (J56)
- {If equipped} Front Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor - Install - Front Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor Replacement (J57, J6H)
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J56)
- Check for brake system leaks.
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
