Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Propeller Shaft - Remove - Propeller Shaft Replacement (without LT4) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (with LT4, MJK) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (with LT4, MHX) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD)
- Using and inch-pound torque wrench, measure the rotational torque of the differential ring and pinion gear and related components.
Using the DT-45012 Holding Fixture with a breaker bar, hold the rear wheel drive shaft flange.
- Using the proper size socket and the breaker bar (1), loosen the rear wheel drive shaft flange nut.
Remove and DISCARD the rear wheel drive shaft flange nut (1)
- Make an alignment mark on the pinion flange to the pinion shaft.
Using the EN-24420-A Crankshaft Balancer Puller, remove the rear wheel drive shaft flange.
