Installation Procedure

- NOTE:
The intermediate wheel drive shaft and front differential carrier are to be installed as a assembly.
Position the front differential carrier on a transmission jack.
- Firmly secure the differential to the transmission jack.
- With the front differential carrier firmly attached to the jack, install the intermediate wheel drive shaft and the front differential carrier to the oil pan.
- Install the front differential carrier to rear oil pan mounting bolt (1) hand tight.
Install the front differential carrier to the front oil pan mounting bolts (1 and 2) hand tight.
- Tighten the front differential carrier front and rear bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Remove the transmission jack from the front differential carrier.
- Using the engine support fixture, carefully raise the engine assembly to it's original position.
- Install the front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing. Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Housing Replacement
- Install the left front wheel drive shaft. Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- Install the right front wheel drive shaft. Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side
- Install the right side engine mount bracket. Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side
- Install the front propeller shaft. Front Axle Propeller Shaft Replacement (LSY)
- Install the Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter. Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement
- Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame assembly. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AWD LSY)
- Fill the front differential. Front Axle Lubricant Level Inspection
Lower the vehicle.
