Installation Procedure

- Reposition the transmission cooler lines to aid with installation of the front differential carrier assembly. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGY, AWD)
- NOTE:
The intermediate wheel drive shaft and front differential carrier are to be installed as a assembly.
Position the front differential carrier on a transmission jack.
- Firmly secure the differential to the transmission jack.
- With the front differential carrier firmly attached to the jack, install the intermediate wheel drive shaft and the front differential carrier to the oil pan.
- Front Differential Carrier Bolt (1) - Install [2x]

- Tighten the front differential carrier front bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Remove the transmission jack from the front differential carrier.
Install the vent hose clips (1).
- Using the engine support fixture, carefully raise the engine assembly to it's original position.
- Install the front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing. Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Housing Replacement
- Install the left front wheel drive shaft. Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- Install the right front wheel drive shaft. Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side
- Install the left side engine mount bracket. Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side (AWD)
- Install the front propeller shaft. Front Axle Propeller Shaft Replacement (LGY)
- Install the Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter. Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement
- Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame assembly. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AWD LGY)
- Fill the front differential. Front Axle Lubricant Level Inspection
Lower the vehicle.
