Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (2) - Remove - Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Replacement (LT4)

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Front Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Remove

  5. Cap the front brake pipe union to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
  6. Front Brake Pipe Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
  7. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  8. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  9. Engine Front Splash Shield- Left Side - Remove - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)

    Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Remove

  11. Plug the front brake hose inlet to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
  12. Maneuver the front brake pipe (2) out of the vehicle.
