Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  3. Engine Front Splash Shield - Remove - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (AWD) , or Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)

    {If equipped} Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]

  5. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Disengage [2x]
  6. If equipped, remove the front disc brake pad wear sensor (4) at the 4 wiring harness retainers (1, 2).
  7. Remove the front wheel speed sensor (3) at the 2 wiring harness retainers (2).

    Front Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (3) - Remove

  9. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Remove
  10. Front Brake Hose Retainer (2) - Remove
  11. Cap the front brake pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Remove

  13. Front Brake Hose Washer (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  14. Front Brake Hose (1) @ Front Brake Caliper - Remove
  15. Plug the front brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Hose (1) - Remove
