Installation Procedure

    Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake pedal.

  2. Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal.

    Using an assistant to reposition the brake master cylinder - with power brake booster and electronic brake control module, install the brake pedal assembly (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Brake Master Cylinder Replacement - With Power Brake Booster and Electronic Brake Control Module (with MJK) 

  5. Brake Pedal Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

    Ensure correct clutch pushrod eyelet orientation and the retainer clip (1) is fully engaged.

    Engage the brake pedal (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod by pushing inwards.

  8. Ensure the brake pedal retainer is secured by lightly pulling rearward on the brake pedal (1).

    Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install

  10. Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3) - Install
  11. Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Battery Positive Cable Replacement

    Wiring Harness (1) - Install

  13. Retainer (2) - Install [3x]
  14. Connect the electrical connectors. (3)

    Reposition the instrument panel outer air outlet inner duct (1).

  16. Air Distributor Duct Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Inner Duct Replacement - Left Side

    Serial Data Gateway Bracket (2) - Install

  18. Serial Data Gateway Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Serial Data Gateway Bracket Replacement
  19. Connect and position the wiring harness.

    Connect the electrical connectors. (1)

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Install

  22. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector Replacement

    Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side Outer (2) - Install

  24. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side Outer

    Connect and position the wiring harness.

  26. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install

    Data Link Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement

  28. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
  29. Connect the electrical connector.

    Connect the electrical connector.

  31. Instrument Panel Center Trim Pad (1) - Install
  32. Return the steering column to its original position.

    Connect the electrical connector.

    Install the tabs into the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator (1).

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Retainer (1) - Install

  37. Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side
  38. Instrument Panel Insulator Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side

    Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).

    Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover - Left Side (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  42. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Driver Side (2) - Install
  43. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side

    Remove the plug from the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose (2) outlet.

  45. Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir Hose (2) - Install
  46. Remove the plug from the clutch master cylinder pipe (3) inlet.
  47. Clutch Master Cylinder Pipe (3) @ Clutch Master Cylinder - Install
  48. Retainer (1) @ Clutch Master Cylinder - Engage
  49. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  50. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration
  51. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding
