Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the brake master cylinder reservoir grommets with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet (1) - Install NEW [3x]

    Secure the rear of the brake master cylinder reservoir (1) to the brake master cylinder and lower the front until it is fully installed.

  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Bolt (3) - Install NEW and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  6. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake Fluid Level Sensor - Connect

  8. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace - Install - Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Impact Bar Bracket) , or Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Plenum without Blackwing) , or Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Plenum with Blackwing)
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  10. Check for brake system leaks.
