Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Thoroughly clean the brake master cylinder reservoir and the brake master cylinder body to remove any dirt and debris.
  3. Using a suitable tool, remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
  4. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace - Remove - Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Impact Bar Bracket) , or Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Plenum with Blackwing)

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake Fluid Level Sensor - Disconnect

  6. Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.

    Using a suitable tool, remove the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose (1) from the master cylinder reservoir.

  8. Install a cap or plug to the exposed hose and clutch master cylinder fittings in order to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD

  10. Lift the front of the brake master cylinder reservoir (1) upwards and remove from the brake master cylinder.

    Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet (1) - Remove and DISCARD [3x]
